In an effort to further support student mental health, Washington University school of medicine is introducing the modern counseling solution, an on-demand mental health support. NexGen is a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL benefit provided to help you and your immediate family members overcome your personal challenges and emotional stressors.
Program Summary
NexGen provides confidential, professional assistance free to full-time enrolled students and their family members to help resolve problems that are affecting their personal life or school performance. The program is managed by ENI, a nationally known professional consulting firm specializing in SAP services.
Students can contact 24/7 to arrange a confidential appointment with a licensed specialist. NexGen specialists have professional training and expertise in a wide range of issues such as academic problems, eating disorders, health coaching, credit problems, adjusting to school, marriage, family problems, alcohol and drug abuse, emotional and psychological concerns, financial difficulties, stress and much more. This valuable benefit for you and your household members providers: work/life specialists are also available for assistance with Life Services, such as legal, financial, childcare, elder care, pet care and other of life’s daily challenges.
- Immediate Connection to a Mental Health Professional
- Mental health counseling for issues like depression, anxiety, grief, stress, and work related challenges
- up to 6 sessions of counseling for each unique issue, every year
- Access to free in-person, telephonic, or video sessions with a counselor based on the challenge you are experiencing
Eligibility for NexGen services include: WUSM students, household members, including spouse, domestic partner, children.
